A crypto wallet for web and mobile. People buy, sell, swap, send and receive crypto, and use it to pay bills and top up airtime. I was the senior UX designer.

Platform:
Web and mobile app

Context:
A confidential client wanted one crypto wallet, on web and mobile, that people could use every day and not only for trading. Users buy and sell coins, swap between them, send and receive crypto, and use their balance to pay bills and top up airtime. I was the senior UX designer on the product, in 2024.
Problem:
Most crypto apps are built for traders. Rates, fees, wallet addresses and confirmations are easy to get wrong, and a mistake with real money is hard to undo. Everyday users needed buying, selling and paying with crypto to feel as simple and safe as a normal payments app.
Constraints:
Many products in one: trading, transfers, bill payments and airtime, on both web and mobile. Every money flow needed the same steps and the same level of clarity, whichever coin or service someone picked.
Process:
1. Onboarding: short screens on buying, trading and paying bills and airtime in crypto, then sign-up or login. 2. Wallets: one overview of fiat and crypto balances, with a wallet for each coin. 3. Buy and sell: choose a wallet, enter an amount, review a summary with the price, fee and wallets involved, then confirm with a PIN. Sales can be instant, scheduled or bulk. 4. Transfers and tools: send by wallet address or QR code, receive with a QR code, swap between coins and set price alerts. 5. Web app: a dashboard with wallets, recent activity and quick links, a products page and the full transaction history.
Decision:
Use one pattern for every money flow: pick a wallet, enter an amount, check a summary of the price, fee and the wallets the money moves between, then confirm with a PIN. Once people learned it for buying ETH, it worked the same way for selling, sending and swapping.
Outcome:
We delivered the UX and UI for both the web and mobile apps, covering onboarding, wallets, buying and selling, transfers, swaps and the web dashboard.
